Put Akane's Way on your phone
You can study in any browser at akanesway.com. Installing it as an app lets you study with no connection; your study syncs with the site whenever you are online.
Android (Chrome)
- Open akanesway.com in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap the menu (the three dots at the top right).
- Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen), then Install.
- Open Akane's Way from your home screen. Sign in again if it asks.
- Open Settings and tap Keep my data on this device, so the phone doesn't clear it when space runs low.
- Open the app once while online after each update, so it can download what it needs.
iPhone (Safari)
- Open akanesway.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Akane's Way from your home screen and sign in there. The home screen app keeps its own data, separate from Safari.
- Open Settings in the app and tap Keep my data on this device.
On a computer
- Open akanesway.com in Chrome or Edge and sign in. That's all you need.
- To install it as an app, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
Studying offline, and syncing
- Everything you study is saved on the device first, so it works with no connection.
- When you're online, the app syncs by itself. To sync by hand, tap Sync now on the home page or in Settings.
- Study on two devices if you like: each one syncs with the site, and your reviews come together.
Updates
- Open Settings and tap Check for updates. If a new version is ready, tap Update now.
- Or turn on Auto updates: a new version is then put in place the next time you open the app.
